JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures smooth and timely flow of product through the supply chain.Call on and work late purchase orders for all suppliers. Act as point of contact for purchase order maintenance for receiving discrepancies.Conduct purchase order maintenance & clean up.Identify problem vendors and escalate as necessary.Identify receiving delays at the DC's and work with the Regional Asset Manager & General Manager to resolve.This position reports to the Purchasing Support Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Follow up on and expedite as required late open purchase orders for all Suppliers for work assigned.Updates expected receipt dates for late orders as needed.

2.Conduct purchase order maintenance and clean-up. Researches and communicates with vendors regarding discrepancies between vendor shipped quantity and receipt quantity.

3.Act as point of contact for purchase order maintenance for receiving discrepancies;inputs changes on purchase orders due to receiving discrepancies and order quality differences

4.DC point of contact for home office inquiries on purchase order items and line item price variance.

5.Identify problem vendors and escalate issues of relating to areas such as consistent late orders, receiving discrepancies caused by damaged or missing product, missed delivery appointments as necessary.

6.Identify receiving delays at the DC's and work with the Regional Asset Manager & General Manager to resolve.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

Education equivalent to a high school diploma.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Up to one year of experience expected.

STRENGTH REQUIREMENT:
