POSITION SUMMARY-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /->Responsible for the design of engineered supply chain solutions and services, including but not limited to:Design elements include storage solution, systems solution, operational flow and costing, for new and existing Manufacturer clients.Documents these design elements in a Solution Summary and distributes to the Implementation Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /->1.Develops, maintains and utilizes engineered cost modeling tools to support the Manufacturer service offerings, which includes:distribution network modeling, transportation modeling, inventory optimization, order-to-cash, warehouse space, labor, and capital equipment optimization, as well as new services that might be developed in the future.
2.Leads, directs and develops a solutions team who shall work directly with the business development team to collect data and information for the purpose of developing value-added, cost effective and innovative chain solutions that are aligned with the overall growth strategy for Manufacturing Services. Presents recommended solution for approval.
3.Work directly with the finance team on a cost model that supports the solution design and delivers targeted margin.Ensures that the rate structure fits within the approved invoice / billing format.Works with finance on a Pro-forma budget.
4.Leads the effort to document the "as-is" process when dealing with any project that is associated with an existing supply chain solution. Includes current performance metrics.
5.Supports the business development effort for new business pursuits by actively participating in customer conference calls and meetings, proposal presentations and contract negotiations.
6.Works with operations team to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities and to work these opportunities into solutions.
7.Administers/monitors approved cost accounting practices to ensure financial and operating models accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide information necessary to control operations. Ensures all practices and procedures comply with audit requirements and meet operational standards.
8.Stays current with industry trends through continuing education.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1.Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management with relevant course work and/or post graduate training in network modeling, space and labor modeling, transportation modeling and financial logistics, required.
2.Master's degree preferred if combined with relevant training, preferred.
3.Formal training in advanced supply chain technologies inclusive of: WMS, TMS, ERP, and network modeling/optimization applications, preferred.
4.Minimum, six (6) years of practical work experience in supply chain modeling and optimization - inclusive of the disciplines of warehousing, transportation, inventory, and financial logistics management, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1.Thorough understanding of fundamental principles of supply chain management and the inter-dependencies of warehousing, transportation, inventory carrying costs combined with compliance to regulatory guidelines.
2.Ability to collect data, design complex solutions, and effectively translates and communicates same in coherent and clear proposal documents.
3.Ability to lead, inspire, and develop teammates.
4.Ability to influence others through effective communication, and shape behaviors and opinions. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
5.Ability to communicate at the senior management level.
6.Ability to understand the principles of contracts management, risk management, and financial audit and accounting principles.
7.Demonstrated skills in the mastery of supply chain tools and technology.
