Owens & Minor Sourcing Specialist in Toano, Virginia

POSITION SUMMARY

This position works with internal as well as external resources to create and maintain contract pricing for raw material inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Negotiates pricing and terms with vendors.

2.Maintains vendor pricing in the Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system by updating cost contract information.

3.Verifies cost checks.

4.Updates the ERP system with new pricing.

5.Maintains pricing tracking system.

6.Researches pricing and invoice discrepancies.

7.Processes pricing requests from the Quote Department for raw material.

8.Maintains and files vendor contracts.

9.Creates and maintains contract renewal tracking system.

10.Processes and reviews New Component Forms (NCF) for ERP system updates.

11.Collects and processes NCF information.

12.Reviews and analyzes bids.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.Associate's Degree in Business or a related field and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience working within a purchasing, customer service or quality assurance department in a manufacturing environment (preferably one producing custom procedure trays).

4.Strong work ethic and a proven ability to work independently, make decisions demonstrating good judgment; ability to process sensitive and confidential information

5.Functional ability to use Microsoft Office suite to include use of Outlook

6.Ability to learn company software programs such as the ERP system

7.Exceptional interpersonal skills/customer service skills and ability to work with people at all levels
