Job Description


Manages a team of Account Managers in a region. Sells products and services to national and regional organizations. Manages a team of sales people, sets expectations, assists in growing sales territories, targets key accounts, to attain company goals. Maintains records on each key account and communicates as often as required with the Area Vice President


1.      Develops a sales strategy with the Area Vice President.

2.      Develops a strategic plan to execute the sales strategy.

3.      Identifies and closes new business with the Area Vice President.

4.      Develops a strategy with Area Vice Presidents of Sales for account penetration of Health Care Professionals.

5.      Develops key relationships with large volume Health Care Professionals.

6.      Researches and understands healthcare reform as it relates to all changes in the managed care landscape.

7.      Possesses the ability to sell the company's services utilizing a structured sales process. Identify customer needs, solicits, negotiates, implements, and maintains a long-term referral-generating relationship with manages care organizations. Generates acceptable gross profit margins and maximizes revenues. Develops and presents the company's features and benefits.

8.      Organizes and prioritizes time and schedule to maximize exposure to key customers within a defined territory. Prospects, identifies and qualifies new opportunities.  Identifies and focuses on priority accounts.

9.      Effectively networks with healthcare professionals, institutions, community agencies, key trade associations, and specific manufacturers to promote the company's value proposition. Attends and represents Byram at trade shows, conferences, association meetings and educational seminars.


  • Performs additional duties as directed.



  • BS or BA degree; MBA or commensurate experience in another health care environment is key
  • Five or more years of prior sales experience with at least 3 years' experience selling healthcare services


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic managerial skills are needed to coordinate efforts of support from multiple disciplines
  • Computer skills as required for communication and reports such as e-mail, internet, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by Area Vice President of Sales
  • Familiarity with reimbursement process and practice
