Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with maintaining a Customer Distribution Agreement management and review process for the domestic core Owens & Minor business (including gathering the data needed from various reporting systems as well as other departments (Legal, Finance, etc)).  Ensures data input into contract management databases is accurate.  Reviews and measures compliance to Agreement terms on a quarterly basis or as specified by individual contracts.  Determines changes required based on results of compliance review and works cross-functionally to communicate and implement required changes in a timely manner.  Manages communication of changes and resolution of questions with Sales team.  Collaborates with Sales, Operations and other teams to pro-actively identify non-compliance trends/issues for Senior Management and assist in developing solutions to reestablish contract adherence and mutual understanding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Establishes, implements and maintains business processes to collect current and future distribution agreements into a centralized location and repository (including distribution agreements with group and individual customers). 

2.       Communicates critical contract information to Finance, Legal, Pricing and Operations teams.  Keeps teams informed of all new agreements and changes to existing agreements.

3.       Maintains and monitors the master contract database of distribution agreements that includes all key attributes including basic terms and conditions.  Creates processes and programs that make contract information readily available to management including a reporting system that notifies management of critical dates and obligations for contracts.  Prepares schedule of contract-ending dates and notify field management of contracts with expiration dates within critical range.

4.       Facilitates a standardized contract approval process.  Creates a workable system that assures compliance with contract guidelines and does not interfere with the customer requirements. 

5.       Works with Pricing and Legal to help with proposed agreements for customers. 

6.       Distributes system reports and schedules to identify obligations of O&M to customer and obligations of customers to O&M. 

7.       Monitors and measures compliance to Agreement terms and facilitate implementation and communication of required pricing and other adjustments and changes in a timely manner.

8.       Develops and distributes reporting to help business partners proactively manage compliance issues with customers.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Associate degree or some college, required.  Bachelor's degree, preferred. 
  • Minimum, three (3) years of combined experience in contract management, audit, finance and/or accounting, process analysis and improvements design and implementation, required.



KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of internal control concepts and practical applications as it relates to contract compliance administration. 
  • Ability to read and interpret terms included in Customer Distribution Agreements. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management. 
  • Ability to conduct and report financial analysis, including identifying areas of financial risk.  
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management. 
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure. 
  • PC Skills (spreadsheet and word processing skills)
