POSITION SUMMARY

Administers completely and accurately all product price agreements for group purchasing organizations, integrated delivery networks, government agencies, and hospitals.  Ensures the timely communication of pricing agreements to Owens & Minor trading partners.  Administers product pricing approval requests.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Accurately enters all price agreements into Owens & Minor systems and databases.  Communicates new product pricing and relevant changes to trading partners in a timely manner.

2.       Determines customer Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) affiliations and roll-ups for assigning correct pricing tier access.

3.       Monitors and administers all level change agreements, ensuring changes are reflected in Owens & Minor systems, and communicated to all necessary parties.

4.       Works with internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Rebate Administration, etc.) to resolve contract/pricing related inquiries.

5.       Researches, analyzes and reports customer contract access within SAP, working with Contracts team to determine appropriate GPO pricing access.

6.       Generates and communicates product profitability analysis for Marketing and Finance organizations, securing necessary approvals on pricing requests submitted by the Sales Team.

7.       Works the GPO contract activation process (LOC/LOP process) by using GPO specific website tools and performing research and analysis to accept or reject customer submitted price activation requests.

8.       Maintains contract administration and pricing administration mailboxes, generating timely responses to customer inquiries.

9.       Participates in all price change efforts and other related pricing projects.

10.   Ensures that all pricing is implemented in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley approval procedures.

11.   Processes reports in support of sales and administrative efforts.  Downloads monthly group membership rosters and posts all data to a common repository.

12.   Assists with the upload and maintenance of contracts to the central repository.

13.   Performs data entry and user acceptance testing as needed for system (re)design.

14.   Assists with maintaining distributor rebate and tracing system issues.

15.   Acts as the primary back up to Rebate Analyst position. 

16.   Serves as management contact on contract pricing maintenance issues.

17.   Performs the lead role in the SAP & NAVISION maintenance portion of projects and initiatives designed to improve business results and processes.


SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Performs additional duties as directed.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associate's degree in related field (Business Administration, Distribution, Health Care) preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of Contract Administration experience
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment managing contracts, pricing, rebate and tracing processing highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Accounting.  Familiarity with MS Project, SAP and/or Oracle
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.  Excellent analytical, problem solving and math skills
  • Ability to research and resolve contract issues
  • Ability to work with large amounts of numeric data; Accuracy in checking, posting and counting
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

  • May be required to work alternate shifts or extended hours on occasion
