Job Description

Recruits for full spectrum of openings based on business needs. This can include working to fill positions for Owens & Minor Corporate, Sales or Distribution roles as well as Corporate, Sales and Distribution roles for O & M's subsidiary, Halyard. This position will report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition Partner and is responsible for delivering high quality professional candidates to Owens & Minor's leaders and teammates.  This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process.  Recruits for all level positions non-exempt through exempt and corporate office as well as field or distribution center bases. 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1.  Partners with managers to identify hiring needs and develop/implement timely and cost-effective staffing strategies.
  2.  Builds strategic relationships to engage a stronger, more diverse pipeline of talent.  
  3. Collects, reviews and screens resumes to match candidate skills and abilities with current job vacancies.
  4. Full life-cycle recruiting to include: Intake with hiring managers, partnering with HRBP and compensation, sourcing & screening of candidates through to interviews and offer preparation and negotiation.
  5.  Maintains acceptable closure rate on all job offers extended.
  6.  Coordinates the pre-employment drug testing and criminal/credit background checks. 
  7.  Develops professional relationships with local organizations and colleges; evaluates the need for, organizes and represents Owens & Minor at college and specialty career fairs for recruiting purposes.
  8. Familiar with and able to maintain EEOC and OFFCP compliance.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.                  Performs additional duties as directed

2.                  Assists the broader Talent Acquisition team for open roles as needed and based on requisition load.



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

             A. EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

  1.  Bachelors degree required
  2. One to three years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience required; experience with high-volume and diverse requisition slate preferred
  3. Prior experience working in applicant tracking systems (ATS) WorkDay preferred
  4. Strong understanding of EEOC and OFCCP regulations and requirements preferred
  5. Experience recruiter non-exempt through exempt level positions.

         B. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced work environment
  2.  Proven success identifying and recruiting high level, qualified candidates through excellent sourcing, screening and interviewing techniques.
  3.  Ability to interface with various levels of business leadership tactfully
  4.  Demonstrated sense of urgency and results driven work ethic
  5.  Demonstrated knowledge of the local area job market
  6.  Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment methodologies/techniques and EEO practice.
