Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides administrative and analytical support for Human Resources team.  Coordinates various processes and procedures within the Human Resources organization (Payroll, Benefits, training, etc.).  Provides clerical and administrative to the Human Resources Department including filing, scheduling, running reports and metrics, and managing personnel files.  Conducts integrated training needs assessments, evaluating, designing, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive range of training and education programs.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

1.       Compiles, updates, and maintains Human Resource reports and provides information as needed to support business needs, drive continuous improvement, and teammate engagement.

2.       Coordinates all payroll preparation efforts to assure payroll, checks and benefit payments are accurate and on time.  Completes payroll administration for the region and performs regular audits to ensure compliance with Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA). 

3.       Conducts teammate onboarding and helps organize training & development initiatives.

4.       Conducts compliance audits of all HR programs, postings and records, prepares compliance reports, recommends corrective actions, tracks and reports progress toward compliance.

5.       Maintains personnel files for respective areas and maintains compliance standards in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies.

6.       Identifies training and development needs for site teammates, monitoring progress and effectiveness.  Performs a gap analysis and creates training and/or development plans making adjustments as required to maximize results.

7.       Maintains training calendar, assists in planning and coordinating training events, and collaborates with learning and development to ensure training records are maintained in the learning management system.

8.       Partners with HR colleagues and business leadership team in the execution of HR initiatives to meet business goals.

9.       Refers teammates to the appropriate resources/services, where applicable.  Acts as impartial advocate to ensure teammates receive fair and equitable treatment.

10.   Acts as information link to ensure teammates are aware of and are utilizing O&M benefits and programs; identifies trends in teammates concerns or needs and provide feedback to Home Office HR to improve programs.

11.   Supports and coordinates projects within the HR function that improve teammate experience and engagement such as performance management, succession planning, process improvement, and teammate self-service activities. 

12.   Provides support to Talent Acquisition team as needed by performing phone screens and scheduling interviews.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS  

  1. Acts as the backup Receptionist, covering breaks and absences of the regular receptionist.
  2. Performs additional duties as directed.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two or more years of experience in Human Resources or in a related area required
  • Or any combination of relevant skills and experience to meet the above requirements

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
  • Previous experience in teaching or training (preferably manufacturing)
  • Manages time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, delegation, time management and project management skills
  • Works independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest in customer service, quality and results
  • Anticipates problems and works proactively to solve them through creative thinking
