Supports the Company's domestic business by providing a broad range of HR services to the assigned leadership team.  Proactively translates the group's business needs into HR solutions that best enables the leadership team to meet its objectives.  Proactively addresses all human capital needs, develops talent and workforce plans and advises on organizational development needs.  May lead a staff of human resources professionals who are responsible for assigned human resources operations and functions.


1.      Responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function for an assigned domestic territory.

2.      Manages the daily HR department operations ensuring that department objectives and goals are met in overall support of the business operations. 

3.      Provides guidance to management to ensure the company is in compliance with all policies and procedures within the scope of the position. 

4.      Notifies Home Office Human Resources of any known instance of non-compliance with company policy or procedure.

5.      Communicates Company policies and procedures to teammates and serves as a primary source for information pertaining to company policy and human resources procedures.

6.      Leads, directs, supervises and otherwise provides assistance and support to the members of the HR team in implementing the goals and objectives of the business.

7.      Provides direction and oversight to staff involved in recruitment and staffing activities, including sourcing and evaluation of candidates, screening and interviewing, selection of candidates, and offers of employment.

8.      Coordinates recruiting and ensures compliance with established procedures to include pre-employment drug testing, background review, EEO and affirmative action.

9.      Works with management and Home Office Human Resources to review compensation practices and ensures compliance with established procedures.

10.  Engages in HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.

11.  Partners with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning, etc.) Provides support to managers regarding staff relations and discipline issues.

12.  Ensures teammates are informed of company benefits/insurance programs including at New Hire Orientation, Open Enrollment and the rolling out of wellness initiatives.

13.  Engages in HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.).

14.  Enables effective business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.) for the assigned business operation or geographic territory.

15.  Assists in the execution of affirmative action plans, monitors and participate in the DC's efforts to achieve affirmative action goals and provides guidance to management in the achievement of affirmative action programs. Maintains the applicant flow information.

16.  Actively assist HO HR in managing workers' compensation cases and works with case nurse to resolve claims.

17.  Manages unemployment claims including attending Unemployment Claim hearing and maintain all forms of documentation.

18.  Develops and champions system-wide staff recognition initiatives.

19.  Monitors hiring practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

20.  Participates on interview and selection committees for promotional positions.

21.  Provides oversight and direction to employee leave programs, including FMLA, USERRA and LOA.

22.  Engages in Human Resources audit processes to ensure adherence to all pertinent federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.

23.  Analyzes Human Resources data, statistics, and reports to forecast and project Human Resources initiatives.


1.      Performs additional duties as directed.

2.      Ability to travel up to 50%





Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree preferred

A minimum of 10 years of HR experience; minimum of ten years direct supervisory experience
