Job Description



Performs Supplier Recall management activities and other business processes as required.  Collects and maintains data from suppliers with the recall database. Responsible for timely, accurate and complete communications of Recalls to Owens & Minor Distribution Centers, customers and suppliers.  Communicates on policy and operational changes (i.e. new warehouses, change of addresses, etc.) to stakeholders as necessary.  Collects and analyzes Supplier Recall data for dissemination, product disposition and customer communication.  Responsible for process and system upgrades to Recall-related applications (i.e. OMNI, PMF, etc.).  Performs analytics on Supplier Recall compliance according to requirements and department performance.  Creates necessary decision support information as required.


1.       Primary Point-of-Contact for all Supplier Recalls.  Retains overall responsibility to ensure Owens & Minor's (O&M's) Recall process is well-executed to maintain the safety of the healthcare network.

2.       Maintains Supplier Recall file data in OMNI, PMF, Rollstream and other applications.

3.       Maintains Recall database & data to include all attributes for active and discontinued Supplier Recalls.

4.       Supports Field and Corporate teams by validating and managing questions about Supplier Recall data, processes and procedures.

5.       Analyzes incoming Supplier Recall data through review and verification.  Processes Recall data within established departmental timeframes.

6.       Coordinates and manages all Supplier Recall communications.  Assists in analyzing, investigating and finalizing disposition of all Supplier Recalls.

7.       Works collaboratively with O&M Distribution Centers Inventory Control teams, Quality and Regulatory team, Customer Engagement Center, Product Development, Accounts Payables and other teams on Supplier Recalls.

8.       Assists management in the maintenance, development and testing of new Recall procedures applications or system upgrades.

9.       Works closely with Quality and Regulatory Associates for Distribution Solutions on measuring the timeliness in processing and closure of Supplier Recalls.

10.   Provides reports as required to as an entire organization.

11.  Performs necessary analytics for department performance and internal and external vendor compliance to requirements for Recalls.



  •     High School Diploma, required plus additional broad training equal to two (2) years
  •   Minimum, one (1) year of experience in Compliance, Customer Service, Data Entry, Administrative Clerical work or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. 


  •     General knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  •     Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  •     General skills in using automated and manual equipment
  •     Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  •     Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  •     Ability to think analytically
  •     Ability to review and audit statistical information
  •     Ability to pay keen attention to detail
  •     Strong organizational skills
