POSITION SUMMARY

 

Assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.  Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.  Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.  Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.  Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.  Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.  Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Prepares checks and vouchers for payment according to the approval matrix.

2.       Prepares daily wires and clears disbursements.

3.       Prepares and maintains custom payments (ACH, etc.).

4.       Completes month end journal entries and recurring entries.

5.       Completes monthly account reconciliations.

6.       Records miscellaneous deposits to the General Ledger.

7.       Proofs A/R deposits to bank daily.

8.       Inputs customer sales credits monthly.

9.       Answers vendor or customer inquiries.

10.   Assists in internal audit requirements.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Performs additional duties as directed.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates degree in Finance or Accounting required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Basic Excel skills required
  • Proficiency using integrated accounting systems required
