Position Summary:

Supports internal and external customer data analytics cross-referencing requests for new/existing analytics offerings. Assists with analytics/business report development, testing and enhancement. Comfortable working with various customer departments, including Materials Management and IT.  Works well with sales teammates. Responsible for project support as needed, as well as maintaining communication of project deliverables and expectations.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.     Conducts detailed analysis of customer data, including data preparation, conversion and manipulation, in order to identify purchasing trends and product conversion opportunities.

2.     Responsible for the receipt and processing of external customer Purchasing Order and clinical data files.

3.     Prepares reports and performs data related tasks necessary to support ad-hoc data analytics requests, and delivers analytical reports to external customers, and internal department and field Sales teammates.

4.     Acts as the primary liaison between Owens & Minor and customer business and IT resources to ensure seamless delivery of their data files and to ensure data accuracy, as well as delivers analytical reports to external customers, and internal department and field Sales teammates.

5.     Coordinates with multiple departments and develops a comprehensive understanding of strategic and tactical business objectives.

6.     Has ability to build complex SQL queries and has knowledge of relational database concepts, in order to enhance cross-reference reporting efficiencies and to support other reporting needs.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

A.     Performs additional duties as directed.

B.     Travels, up to 10% of the time.



    Qualifications

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

    A.     Bachelors degree, required, in hospital supply chain, distribution, logistics or clinical experience, preferred.

    B.     Minimum, one (1) year of work experience, required, in analytics, business reporting or project management.

    C.  Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, required.

    A.   Advanced Excel and strong critical thinking and analytical skills

    B.   Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    C.   Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a changing environment
