Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Acts as the primary consultant between various business units in order to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Resolves organizational information gaps by collaborating with business representatives, architects, tech leads and development staff to design information systems; recommending system controls and protocols.  Documents requirements and user stories, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Leads business analysis and modeling activities by interviewing process owners, users and other stakeholders to identify business processes; evaluate the current process and workflow for various business functions; document findings and recommend improvements.

2.       Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze and document information needs and functional requirements. Synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive user stories and solution design documentation.

3.       Documents process flows for required functionality.

4.       Translates business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.

5.       Works with product owners and business owners to prioritize the features for upcoming releases; assists product owners with refining and managing the product backlog.

6.       Provides status reports on requirements gathering in order to manage backlog and scope.

7.       Assists in testing functionality.

8.       Assists in training users once functionality is developed.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs additional duties as directed.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Five or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst required
  • In depth knowledge of best practices and methods for requirements elicitation and documentation
  • Knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (preferred)
  • International experience/exposure (preferred)
  • Salesforce.com knowledge (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong ability to communicate with business and uncover requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Project Methodologies
  • Understanding of business process tools including MS Visio
  • Experience with working on large projects where not all team members are local. Resource may need to facilitate calls with resources in the US and abroad


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.       Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, national and international.
