Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Generates new and reorder revenue for the company, focusing solely on Urology.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.      Performs to Quota:  expectation that performance is 100% to quota

2.      Consistent communications

a.      All emails and voicemails should be returned and answered same day

b.      Customer calls are expected to be returned within 4 hours

c.       RSM/AVP/EVP calls are expected to be returned within 4 hours

3.      Call Routings

a.      Each AM is required to maintain a monthly calendar in Outlook/Salesforce.com showing their monthly routing. This should be updated and complete by the first of each month and modified to ensure calendar is current weekly

b.      Weekly calendar updates need to be completed no later than end of day Friday for the next week, put key accounts, , physicians your calling on

4.      Operational, Reimbursement and Managed Care Knowledge

a.      AM's are required to stay current and trained on Reimbursement, Operations and Managed Care knowledge. This includes the ability to clearly define managed care pertinent to all customers' payer mix. AM's must be active in working with their  Operations, Reimbursement and Managed Care counterparts to develop and execute pull through initiatives for all contracts.

5.      Product and Industry Knowledge

a.      AM's are required to be highly versed on our service, the products we carry, and all programs we offer. AM's must be able to discuss at the Supervisory level. Additional training will be provided based on needs.

6.      Develops relationships with Diabetes referral sources

7.      Effectively identifies key referrers' and communicates the benefits of Owens & Minor's products and services to the referrer's patients

8.      Represents Byram at various conferences and trade shows throughout the United States (SCI, Abilities Expo etc...)

9.      Measurement

a.      This position's bonus plan is measured on a pay per performance model based on quarterly Management Business Objectives (MBO's) with an annual bonus opportunity equal to 30% of the annual salary (to be paid out quarterly).

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • BA/BS Degree desired
  • Three or more years of medical sales experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Advance skill level of Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Little or no traveling required (less than 10%)
