Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Analyzes revenue, gross margin, cash collections, pricing systems, as well as other projects to support all aspects of the business.  Partners with the accounting department to assist with the month end close.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.      Performs daily, weekly and monthly standardized financial reporting and analysis.

2.      Assists in the development & consolidation of company budget and forecast.

3.      Partners with the accounting department in generating month end reports from various systems, and conducting variance analysis upon completion of month end close.

4.      Provides reporting for measurement & compensation for functional departments.

5.      Works with various business units to develop and maintain new reporting systems as they are required.

6.      Completes ad-hoc reporting and analytical projects as needed.

7.      Generates and track key performance indicators (KPI) for various areas of the business including Customer Service, Billing & Reimbursement & Logistics.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Performs additional duties as directed.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required; MBA preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, expertise in MS Excel required
  • Knowledge of COGNOS as well as other accounting/financial reporting tools a plus
  • Previous healthcare industry experience a plus

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Stellar work ethic, attention to detail and desire to learn
  • Must have strong accounting technical background (GAAP)
  • Must have proven financial analysis skills including a knowledge of financial business plans and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and systems
  • Ability to plan and coordinate completion of tasks in a multi-deadline environment
  • Experienced in financial management (P&L's, balance sheets, forecasting and budgets) to effect return on investment required
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving though use of data and information metrics and improvement to performance process required
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and internal customers


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Little or no travel required (less than 10%)
