Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Evaluates and monitors contracts to ensure vendors comply with contractual terms and conditions. Oversees efficient work procedures, recommendations for on-going process improvements, and coordinates programs to meet company goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Coordinates vendor management tasks (tracking, measuring, reporting, and evaluating vendor performance).

2.       Oversees compliance with purchase contracts policies and procedures such as indemnification and amendments.  Evaluates vendors' operations and products for compliance with company quality standards.

3.       Participates in workflow process, methods, and policies for vendors.  Compiles data for documentation of test procedures and may prepare reports for presentation to management.

4.        Builds relationships and works closely and effectively with internal leadership and assigned vendors.

5.       Builds and runs analytical tools monitor vendor performance and root cause reports.  Provides and interprets reports that provide proactive vendor solutions (backorder, customer pack revisions, excess inventory, quality issues, spikes and dips, etc.).

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Performs additional duties as directed.

2.       Verifies inbound receiving appointments at risk items.

3.       Analyzes and reports on customer and internal performance metrics.

4.       Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Four year university degree required
  •  Four plus years of vendor relations and/or healthcare industry experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with internal teammates and external vendors
  • Solid planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to independently seek issue resolution
  • Strong follow-up skills
  • Customer service oriented



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
