POSITION SUMMARY

 

Leads and coordinates activities of teammates engaged the production of Care Point Surgical Totes. Ensure the smooth flow of operations to include Responsible for filling customer pack orders and getting them ready for shipment in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Responsible for the maintaining and updating current Licensing for all Business Accounts across all DC's.  Utilization of all resources such as websites, control spreadsheets as well as contacting customers directly to obtain appropriate information.

2.      Assigns job functions to teammates according to schedules and operational demands.

3.      Trains or ensures the training of new teammates or retrains existing teammates in job functions.

4.      Studies production schedules and estimates teammate-hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

5.      Interprets specifications and job orders to teammates and assigns duties.

6.      Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

7.      Recommends measures to improve production methods, quality of product and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse.

8.      Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems.

9.      Initiates or suggests plans to motivate teammates to achieve work goals.

10.  Communicates with supervisors and or management team regarding personnel issues and day to day operations.

11.  Regularly conducts team talks or start up meetings in conjunction with supervisors.

12.  Provides regular feedback to supervisors and managers on teammate performance.  May provide input for annual reviews.

13.  Able to perform all the duties of the Care Room Coordinator.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.      High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent, required.

2.      External Candidates:  Minimum one (1) year of Lead or Supervisory experience, preferred.

3.      Internal Candidates:  Minimum one (1) year of Owens & Minor experience, required.

4.      Teammates promoted into this position must:

a.      have worked in all areas of the warehouse

b.      Exhibit a willingness to expand their responsibilities

c.       Have a solid attendance record

d.      Have flexibility in their hours

e.      Successfully completion of all training modules resulting in certification

f.        Be certified on all equipment

g.      Have maintained an acceptable preventable accident record

h.      Be knowledgeable in all areas they will be leading others on

i.        Must be in good standing and maintain good standing to main lead status

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.         Fingering:   Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.

2.         Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

3.         Sedentary work:  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

4.         Visual Acuity:  Closely viewing in order to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
