POSITION SUMMARY

 

Performs analyst functions that support the flow of data, customer information, and research on diverse supplier programs.  Serves as the primary contact for internal departments to answer questions regarding diverse suppliers, use of diverse suppliers in Medichoice, and general initiative queries.  Provides supplier information in a timely and accurate manner, with emphasis on supplier maintenance and analytical processing of changes within the systems to ensure accuracy of information regarding diverse suppliers.  Collects and analyzes diverse supplier data surrounding acquisitions, new customers, and conversions.   Supports management on reporting requirements and annual disclosure statements.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Analyzes related complex/large quantities of data on a daily basis, researches issues and recommends solutions and/or alternatives to management, which affect the diverse supplier initiative of Owens and Minor.

2.       Serves as primary contact and consults with internal contacts regarding the diverse supplier initiative.  Partners with the Sales Team and other internal customers to provide needed reporting solutions to clients as required.

3.       Assists leadership with planning and coordinating upcoming events.

4.       Assists internal and external customers with diverse supplier issues and projects.

5.       Works collaboratively with diverse suppliers to initiate integration into the Owens & Minor distribution chain.

6.       Serves as interface with other corporate support functions to coordinate resolution of issues related to client spend with O&M diverse suppliers.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.      Performs additional duties as directed. 



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Business or other related disciplinary area required
  • Three or more years of experience in an analytical capacity
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience is highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and problem solving ability
  • Expert PC skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and preferably Access experience
  • Ability to conduct difficult, complex, independent analysis
  • Ability to review, revise, implement and communicate changes to existing policies, procedures, and systems
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks and work independently
  • Ability to research and resolve issues


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • May work extended hours on occasion
