Job Description


Responsible for the implementation and support of various ERP software applications, managing interfaces to external applications, system administration, master data management and change management.  Provides support to customer interfaces as well as manages day-to-day production support of internal applications.  Assists in maintaining compliance with technical standards and processes which adhere to the ISO, FDA and cGMP to maintain a validated system.


1.      Performs development responsibilities such as: analysis of requests, creation of functional specifications and technical designs, development of level-of-effort estimates and project plans and prioritization and coordination of scheduling work with users.

2.      Develops and executes test plans, validates the test results and manages user acceptance testing for the successful implementation of enhancements.

3.      Delivers 2nd level support across multiple applications that is consistent with end user expectations and service level agreements.  Reviews log files, system performance and system availability performance levels to plan capacity, tune performance and schedule system maintenance.  Updates FAQs, knowledge scripts and technical training materials for support teams.

4.      Delivers high quality projects, within the agreed upon budgetary and time constraints in accordance with business and customer expectations.  Develops and employs best practices in data conversion, validation and ongoing data maintenance with an objective to streamline work processes.

5.  Fully accountable for customer satisfaction regarding data conversion and validation activities that are executed across IS functions.  Ensures the delivery of data conversion, validation and ongoing data maintenance support that is consistent with end user expectations and service level agreements.

6.      Performs ad hoc data conversion and validation in support of the Information Technology, Operations and Logistics, 3PL Sales, Financial Operations and Program Management, Finance and Regulatory teams.

7.      Partners with customers to identify overall data conversion and validation requirements. 

8.      Accountable for data validation and leading activities to troubleshoot data issues.  Develops recommendations for streamlining the ongoing data maintenance processes.

9.      Manages assigned tasks while juggling urgent requests as they arise.  Provides regular verbal and written project communications/updates of status and issues.  Identifies resource requirements to support data conversion and validation.

10. Manages the definition of business and system requirements for new data conversion and validation initiatives.

11. Supports system documentation in accordance with regulatory, financial, legal and/or departmental requirements.

12.  Leverages organizational skills (time management, priority setting, methodology/ process approach, use of project management tools) to develop project plans and track activities.  Works with management and team to establish priorities based on business drivers.

13.  Identifies resource requirements and builds technical competencies as required externally to support application areas.

14.  Partners with Business Implementation team and new clients to onboard client master data into OM HCL systems.

15.  Directs the EDI team to create standard transactions to use for all clients.

16.  Designs and creates specifications for developers to make changes as necessary to interface systems.


1.      Augments the QA team for testing as required.

2.      Supports compliance efforts for 21 CFR, Part 11 as required.

3.      Performs additional duties as directed.



1.      Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, required.

2.      Minimum, 5 (five) years of experience with data management, data analytics, reporting, system validation or system development, required.

3.      Minimum, 2 (two) years of experience interfacing and implementing ERP systems.

4.      Prior experience with Ross ERP or Oracle EBS software, preferred.

5.      Prior experience with Data Integration or Enterprise Application Integration tools, preferred.

6.      Prior experience with standard and ad hoc reporting tools (Business Objects, Crystal Reports and/or SQR Reports), preferred.


1.      Broad knowledge of an advanced technical and/or business field.  

2.      Knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI), knowledge of ANSI X12 Standards and industry exchanges such as UCCNet.

3.      Strong knowledge of SQL, database query tools and basic database design concepts.

4.      Knowledge of business, financial and general accounting principles and practices.

5.      Proficient with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).

6.      Excellent documentation skills using tools like Visio.

7.      Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail.

8.      Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with multiple audiences, including senior management, corporate and distribution center teammates.

9.      Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to make and act on decisions with limited information.

10.  Demonstrated negotiation, persuasion and conflict management skills.  Proven ability to serve as champion for multiple projects simultaneously.

11.  Ability to identify opportunities that lead to operational improvements and/or savings.

12.  Self-starter with a sense of urgency, ability to work independently and in a team setting involving multiple departments, partners and business processes.

Work Environment

  3. Flexible working hours, including the potential for significant work at nights and on weekends, via on-call rotations.
