Job Description

Participates in a broad range of financial planning and analysis functions within a strategic business unit which include, but are not limited to:  budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning support, reporting and the development and generation of insightful financial analyses. 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Supports the compilation and analysis of the annual budget and quarterly forecast.

2.      Assists in the long-range financial planning process.

3.      Supports the organization in opportunity identification, analysis-based decision-making and performance assessment. 

4.      Analyzes and provides key insights on trends in key performance indicators including revenues, cost of sales, expenses, working capital and capital expenditures.

5.      Creates financial models to analyze various business opportunities and cost savings initiatives.

6.      Identifies, recommends and implements continuous improvement and process transparency.    

7.      Develops and maintains key financial and operational reports and provides input for the development of new dashboards or management reports.

8.      Provides financial analysis using Company-standard financial models for capital expenditure requests for the SBU.  Reviews these financial analyses prior to submission. 

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Participates in ad hoc projects as necessary in the broader strategic business unit.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, required.

2.      Minimum, two (2) years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

3.      Hyperion experience, preferred.



KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1.      Understanding of financial processes and systems.

2.      Financial consulting and analysis skills - ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement change.

3.      Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

4.      Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and data manipulation skills.

5.      Ability to use general office equipment and various accounting software.

6.      Ability to implement complex financial projects.

7.      Strong ability and experience in performing multiple concurrent tasks.

8.      Ability to plan, coordinate and structure projects and processes with various stakeholders. 

9.      Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently and with team.
