Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing support in delivery of inventory management, contract management, technology implementations, data collection or other client related services. Works on projects and project-related initiatives as assigned by leadership. 

KNOWLEDGE, COMPLEXITY, SUPERVISION/DISCRESION

 

Works on problems of easy to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.   Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.   Should consult with higher level staff members while learning support duties.   Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.  

Builds productive working relationships.

Individual Contributor still learning and developing functional expertise under general direction.  Entry-level proficiency of software programs, and general knowledge of supply chain. Training of specific software applications will be required. 

Incumbents are still directed in several aspects of their work.  However, more routine and straight forward tasks are accomplished without assistance.   Still requires much direction, but will have the education and basic skills required to do basic job tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.  Responsible for Customer Support for multiple technology applications, including DemandReady (QSight, IPM, PANDAC), and Surgitrack.  Users can reach out to the Customer Support Team by "Comments" link, Support Phone Line, as well as direct phone or emails.   Troubleshoot problems, including interfacing issues.  

2.  Customer Files:  Review and prepare customer data files for upload.  Files may pertain to Pre-Implementation and Post-Implementation data.  Also, if dept's interfaces can't update/maintain certain fields, then periodic data files are reviewed and prepared for upload.  Projects typically require specific deadlines.

3.  Manufacturer Files:  Review manufacturer data files, submit file for changes of existing products, and prepare new products for upload to database according to our required fields.  This includes processing IPM Item Master database exceptions.

4.  Build relationships and contacts by maintaining Master Contact files and Account Setup files for manufacturer's and hospitals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

          EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management or related field is preferred

2. Healthcare supply chain management preferred

          WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires 0 - 2 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, health care supply chain management, or consulting and degree in specialist field.

          KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

A.   Demonstrated understanding of supply chain management, consulting principles and practices.  

B.   Demonstrated data analytics, planning and organizational skills.

C.   Analytical/PC skills: Excel, word processing, project planning and graphics presentation software.

D.   Demonstrated competencies in communication, documentation as needed to successfully interact with internal and external customers.

E.   Demonstrated ability to work independently, with multiple teammates, and with a diverse team.

F.    Possess the ability to listen and respond appropriately to customer and co-worker requests, communicate effectively with clients and team members, to clarify understanding, diffuse tense situations, and deliver information.

G.  Ability to research, write and present recommendations relevant to stated subject matter expertise.

H.  Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customer.

          General office equipment to include laptop. 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  1. Inside working conditions.
  2. No environmental hazards indicated for this classification.
  3. 20% travel required.

STRENGTH REQUIREMENT:

          Sedentary Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for extended periods of time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

          Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling).

          Talking

          Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.  Talking is important for those activities in which workers must impart oral information to clients or to the public, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

          Hearing

          Perceiving the nature of sounds.  Hearing is important for those activities which require ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on running engines.
