Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepares documentation of significant financial process flows.  Performs Sarbanes-Oxley control testing, financial and operational audit procedures and year-end financial testing as directed. 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.            Prepares documentation of significant financial process flows under the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley certification process.  Documents the results of internal controls testing through the preparation of work papers including memorandums and spreadsheets.

2.            Analyzes test results and related data for evidence of deficiencies in controls and non-compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.

3.            Under the direction of a Senior Audit team member, assists with audits of corporate functional areas.

4.            Participates in audits of the Company's distribution facilities located throughout the U.S. and assists in documenting test results.

5.            Assists the external auditor with year-end financial testing, internal control audit activities, and annual benefit plan testing procedures.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.            Performs additional duties as directed by Internal Audit management including audit program development, physical inventory counts and special projects.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.            Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

2.            Up to two (2) years of operational or financial audit experience, preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1.            General knowledge of professional auditing standards.
 

2.            General knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.

3.            Strong written and verbal communication skills.

4.            Ability to work well with people at all levels within the organization.

5.            Ability to analyze data, identify problems or deficiencies within highly complex or detailed work.

6.            Ability to work independently.

7.            Computer proficiency, especially with Excel.
