Supports coordination of the Owens & Minor Product Assortment Specialist (PAS) Team tasks, monitoring workload and accuracy.  Oversees the Product Assortment customer experience, managing complex customer product assortment and demand changes related to product conversions and business transitions.  Analyzes complex customer sales to ensure that purchases are in line with customer provided usage, resolving issues as needed.  Collaborates with Purchasing and Process Teams to streamline internal processes, training and communicating said processes to PAS teammates.


1.       Monitors PAS Team workload volumes and case distribution.  Assists Client Engagement Center (CEC) management with workload balancing and ensuring backlogs are addressed in a timely manner.

2.       Assists management with enforcement of standards and best practices within the PAS team.  Participates in creating, evaluating, and implementing new tools and processes for the team.

3.       Develops back-up plans for PAS Team process flow due to absences/emergencies. 

4.       Assists in identifying cross training opportunities for PAS teammates based on the level of competencies in current job assignment.  Assists with continuous subject matter growth for all PAS teammates.   

5.       Works with CEC management on personnel issues to re-train PAS Teammates, communicating improvement needs where applicable.    

6.       Facilitates meetings to discuss CEC/company/PAS Team information. 

7.       Provides ongoing process support to the PAS Team relating to the Add/Remove Stock Process.  Escalates issues to Client Engagement Center (CEC) management as needed.

8.       Serves as the CEC Product Assortment Subject Matter Expert, representing the PAS team and department on cross functional teams and projects.  Collaborates with Purchasing and Process Teams to streamline internal processes, training and communicating those processes to PAS teammate.

9.       Ensures customer Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) product add and subtracts are correctly loaded into the Add to Stock (ATS) Database and uploaded.  Ensures that the ATS database is retained according to audit/compliance policies.

10.   Audits and ensures customers usage is communicated to Commercial and Purchasing teams.  Works with Product and Purchasing teams as needed. 

11.   Researches and resolves problem uploads, and communicates with Commercial team on resolution steps.  Determines required resolution actions, ensuring the correct team takes the appropriate action.

12.   Reviews Top 40 Reports and DC Reports to maintain accurate Distribution List, ensuring report is what the end user needs to improve on Fill Rate issues.

13.   Monitors invalid hold per Sales Representative to look for trends and resolution within process response time. 

14.   Serves as Subject Matter Expert on Conversion process for add/loss of business.  Works with other Teams to accomplish onboarding/removal of business, and associated changes. 


  • Performs additional duties as directed.



  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • Four (4) or more years' experience working with purchasing, customer service, or vendors concerning product needs
  • Or any combination of education and experience to meet above requirements


  • PC/Systems skills & knowledge:  Microsoft Office, SalesForce

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (templates, pivot tables, and macros)
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Purchasing and Medical Vendors
  • Knowledge of mainframe and PC processing infrastructures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing multiple projects/demands and working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to research, analyze and communicate complex issues Ability to independently seek issue resolution
  • Ability to work with and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


  • Must be available to work additional hours on occasion
  • May need to work various shifts
