POSITION SUMMARY

 

Manages Owens & Minor's End User Compute (EUC) and Messaging / Collaboration services and tools, ensuring they meet users' business needs.  Establishes and oversees a robust management structure delivering fully supported solutions to end users within the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Assesses the impact of IT industry trends to current and future enterprise EUC services needs and projects.

2.       Leads the development of EUC Services roadmap, service delivery standards and procedures for the enterprise.

3.       Establishes and enforces proper user standards for collaboration services environments based on best practices and business objectives.

4.       Serves as the primary system administrator for SharePoint and Teams Environments.

5.       Establishes standards for, and directly manages, the lifecycle of Distribution Lists and General Mailboxes for the organization.

6.       Facilitates training for end users on proper use of EUC and Messaging / Collaboration services.

7.       Provides oversight of vendor support of EUC and Messaging / Collaboration services.

8.       Partner with IT security management to establish and enforce proper security policies and standards for EUC and Messaging / Collaboration services environments.

9.       Oversees and determines project plans for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, and migrations.

10.   Serves on project teams for mergers and acquisitions to ensure proper integration of messaging and collaboration services platforms.  Establish EUC support models for the combined organization.

11.   Researches industry trends and best practices to develop technology recommendations and methods to stakeholders at all levels.

12.   Leads other general IT projects as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.       Performs additional duties as directed.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor's Degree required; concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Security highly preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of IT systems implementation and support experience required
  • Or any combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience building and deploying messaging and collaboration services
  • Experience with Exchange, 0365, Skype, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other industry common messaging and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with End User Compute technologies and standards.
  • Experience with ITIL standards
  • Knowledge of sound governance processes for messaging and collaboration services environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills
  • Knowledge of Service Desk operations, Desk Side Support operations, Asset Management, Desktop Image Management, Voice and Mobility Support
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to lead effectively with cross-functional teams as well as with third party service providers and vendors
  • Strong understanding of leveraging technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proficient command of Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook, and Word


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • May work extended hours on occasion
  • Up to 10% travel
