Job Description



This position will encompass all aspects of picking and pulling components.  This position works under general supervision and uses written work instructions. 



1.      Loads all components from the zones onto the conveyor for each work order.

2.      Verifies all pages of the pick ticket and indicates the status in the ERP system.

3.      Uses the Pick Ticket to positively identify the material/component(s) required to produce the production order verifying the count unit of measure by using a calculator.

4.      Pulls pharmaceutical items/ products (stored in the pharmaceutical room) always ensuring these components are pulled with a team leader or a member of the Warehouse management.

5.      Follows proper processes by first identifying material/component by referencing the vendors' part number or the ERP system internal part number and shelf/bin location to the corresponding Pick Ticket, and matching from the vendors labeling to the corresponding Pick Ticket for accuracy.   

6.      Accurately pulls and counts components in accordance with comparing and identifying printed information's of boxes against generated labels produced by the ERP system.

7.      Records all lot numbers, and/or purchase order numbers, expirations dates on pick ticket.

8.      Operates the lift truck, order pickers or pallet jack for proper loading or unloading shelves/boxes.

9.      Uses First-In First-Out (FIFO) concept by picking components with the earliest expiration dates first.  Uses opened boxes and bags of materials/components first before opening a new box or bag.

10.  Places a red dot on all products which have an expiration date as a means of visual management.

11.  Places a green dot on all products that falls under the Increased Process Controls WI INTER 09-30.

12.  Replenishes overages for zones 1 - 14.

13.  Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, and ensures a safe working environment.

14.  Material handlers  must maintain Work orders [minimum 150 lines 7.4 hour day, 20 lines per hours]



15.  Segregates totes on the conveyors and places each tote in the appropriate bin locations using the designation number at the top of the pick ticket.

16.  Reads each pick ticket and determines the number of totes for each pick ticket from each zone; verifies product is placed in the appropriate bins 1-10.

17.  Loads all components from the accumulation bins 1-10 onto a cart for each work order, placing all small items/component's in one bag.

18.  Verifies all pages of the pick ticket and indicates the status in the ERP system as Ready/Waiting.

19.  Moves carts to the appropriate area in the warehouse.

20.  Receives the components' from each zone, annotates the license plate by crossing out the zone on the front of the license plate.

21.  Places all expiration products with a red dot on the top shelf of each cart for visibility.

22.  Places a license plate on the front and back of the accumulation cart to easily identify the work order/job/lot number from each end.

23.  Writes or prints information from the computer on the status of work orders Ready/Waiting.

24.  Compares identifying information and counts items in totes to verify information against generated labels produced by the ERP system.

25.  Adds the Components Shortages Form (DOP OPS 09-03-03) to the front of the Device History Record (DHR).

26.  Accumulators will stamp the right corner of the DHR folder with the accumulated date with the provided stamp. Writes the cart location, number of carts in the applicable line, circle Ready/Waiting.

27.  Accumulator's are responsible  for handling all missed accumulated items

28.  Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, and ensures a safe working environment.

29.  Performs miscellaneous job-related duties in each warehouse work area when needed.


1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



1.      High school diploma or GED preferred.

2.      Three months experience in the company's production clean rooms or boxing area preferred. 


1.      Must possess ability to comprehend and follow directions given verbally in English.

2.      Must be able to read and write in English.

3.      Good verbal and written communication skills.

4.      Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.

5.      Ability to calculate count unit of measure using a calculator.

6.      Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attention-to-detail is a must.

7.      Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with guidance from immediate supervisor.

8.      Ability to perform basic computer actions and to use Microsoft Word.

9.      Must possess the willingness to learn and receive limited computer training.

10.  Ability to learn company software programs such as the ERP system.

11.  Proven ability to work independently and to work under supervision; follow instructions; and follow pre-established guidelines / procedures to perform the functions of the job.

12.  Must possess the ability to work well as a team member.

13.  Must be able to maintain a professional attitude in difficult situations.

14.  Demonstrated adaptability to a changing work environment and varying daily tasks.

15.  Proven ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. 

16.  Must know when to ask for help from Team Leaders or Warehouse management team personnel.

17.  Ability to support the company's fiscal year-end inventory process.

18.  Ability to safely operate forklift and maintain forklift certification.

Work Environment



1.      Material handling equipment (to include items such as: hand truck, forklift/reach trucks, cherry pickers)


1.      Inside working conditions.

2.      Must be able to walk or stand 100% of the shift.

3.      Must be able to withstand varying temperature extremes in the Warehouse to fulfill regularly scheduled duties.

4.      Must comply with company hygiene and gowning requirements as defined in the Department Operating Procedures, 'Gowning Requirements and Basic Hygiene for Warehouse, Assembly, Clean Room and Boxing Areas'.

5.      Must be able to withstand exposure to latex.

6.       Must be able to withstand exposure to isopropyl alcohol used for hand cleaning.




1.      Fingering:   Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.

2.      Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.  Frequently twists torso when maneuvering into rows or shelving to retrieve products; frequently works above shoulders to store or retrieve items that are located on the racks in the warehouse; frequently squats/kneels when picking from lower shelves in the warehouse.

3.      Medium Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; or up to 25 pounds of force frequently; or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Occasional push forces between 56 foot-pounds and 75 foot-pounds at average walking speeds.  Rare lifting/carrying of weights greater than 76ft-lbs, rare push forces greater than 76 foot-pounds at average walking speeds.  All weights and forces can be carried over short and long distances.

4.      Visual Acuity:  Closely viewing in order to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


1.      Warehouse Teammates are required to wear protective footwear that meets the ASTM F2413-11 standard in order to perform their job functions.

2.      Teammates will need to provide their own protective footwear. Footwear will need to be available on the first day of employment.
