Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Uses knowledge and experience to handle custom and standard finished good production tray releases and resolves and communicates component issues to the appropriate departments.  Identifies slow moving raw materials and assists in the reduction of these components.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Coordinates all activities related to the planning of a finished good from initial schedule through continuous management of end user inventory.

2.       Analyzes the forecasting requirements of the finished goods and determines date requirements for finished good.  Analyzes actual consumption compared against established forecast and adjusts the production schedule accordingly.

3.       Evaluates raw material availability for finished goods, communicates component requirements with purchasing to determine availability.  Then determines proper execution to meet end user requirements of finished tray.

4.       Communicates with sales representatives and determines whether a deletion or substitution must occur to ensure customer requirements are met.

5.       Advises team members or management of the appropriate recommended substitutions when primary component is not available.

6.       Investigates missing raw material shortages.

7.       Assures that the finished good tray is scheduled correctly, coordinates all associated communication with producing finished good tray to meet customer demand.

8.       Assists in the review of the Four Week or Less Report, communicating all priority tray information to appropriate departments.

9.       Coordinates appropriate method of shipment to maintain supply in a cost effective manner.

10.   Maintains appropriate confidentiality with sensitive information, I.E. tray pricing, bill of material vendor information.

11.   Assumes additional responsibilities as requested by immediate supervisor, other management personnel or as business need dictates.

12.   Maintains accurate data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

1.       High School Diploma or GED is required

2.       Or five to six years of experience in planning and scheduling or a related field

3.       Experience in a medical supply/components production environment is strongly preferred

4.       Knowledge of medical supplies/components and the manufacturing / production of medical trays is strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1.       Proven ability to work well as a team member

2.       Must be able to maintain a professional attitude in difficult situations

3.       Must possess a strong work ethic and a proven ability to work independently, and an ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information

4.       Must possess an ability to operate standard office equipment

5.       Uses knowledge, experience to perform all work independently, with little or no direct supervision and in accordance with verbal and written instructions and processes provided for guidance

6.       Must possess strong problem solving skills

7.       Capable of independently handling multi-task projects in a high stress environment and meeting aggressive deadlines within requested time frames
