Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Assists in the coordination of Point of Care Logistics (POCL) activities amongst teammates at Forward Stocking Locations (FSL and SurgiTrack), including receipts, inspections, picking and the staging of kits.  Provides support to management, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of all sets prior to and during delivery to specified accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Coordinates and serves as team lead for Point of Care Logistic (POCL) operations:  receiving, warehousing, shipping, inspection of kits, replenishing and driving. 

2.       Ensures completed kits are available when ordered and all component SKUs are available for assembly.

3.       Assumes operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of the POCL Supervisor.

4.       Conducts new hire training and the retraining of existing teammates.

5.       Collaborates with the POCL Supervisor to establish or adjust work procedures in order to meet customer demands.

6.       Initiates or suggests plans to motivate teammates to achieve work goals.

7.       Communicates with the POCL Supervisor regarding personnel issues and day to day operations.

8.       Regularly conducts team talks or start up meetings in conjunction with supervisor.

9.       Provides regular feedback to supervisor on teammate performance.  May provide input for teammate reviews.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  1. Performs additional duties as directed.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (one year safe driving experience)
  • Successful completion of all company FSL modules resulting in certification

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time: driving and/or inspecting
  • Working knowledge of Instrument Set Technician and Mobile Inventory roles with an understanding how their functions
  • Ability to assign job functions to (POCL) Point of Care Logistics teammates according to FLS and operational demands
  • Flexibility to cover FSL coverage needs
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, Business Objects, CSW, Microsoft Access, and other necessary programs or project tools
  • Experience with Red Prairie JDA and iTraycer systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have worked in all areas of (POCL) Point of Care Logistics
  • Must successfully complete all training modules resulting in certification
  • Must maintain an acceptable preventable accident record
  • Must be in good standing, maintain good standing, and have a solid attendance record (Green Zone)
