Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Audits manufactured goods and/or inspects purchased finished goods and raw materials for compliance to specifications. Maintains and reports audit and inspection results.  



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Supports the company Quality Policy, Mission Statement and ISO Quality System.

2.       Helps organize and prioritize the daily activities of the Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector/Auditors.

3.       Reports to management any employee feedback regarding the execution of job duties.

4.       Identifies problems, seeks resolution, and brings any remaining issues to management attention.

5.       Supports and maintains a team environment by providing day-to-day leadership and motivation.

6.       Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies.

7.       Product inspection to Device Master Record.

8.       Data preparation for analysis and presentation by others.

9.       Generates and manipulates Excel Spreadsheets for analysis and reporting purposes.

10.   Assists with scheduled specification reviews and ensures that the latest revision of specifications are maintained and referenced.

11.   Performs scheduled finished goods and raw material inspections in compliance with MAI Standard Operating Procedures which may include the use of calibrated measuring devices.

12.   Maintains sample history files for all received artwork.

13.   Maintains records of all inspection results and acceptance and rejection activities in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and in incoming inspection folders.

14.   Ensures non-conforming materials are placed on hold in accordance with MAI Standard Operating Procedure and documents disposition in ERP system.

15.   Communicates product failures to QA Management.

16.   Communicates suggestions for improvements in reducing costs and improving quality and customer service.

17.   Maintains Calibration documentation in electronic and hard copy files;  includes scheduling, printing, and closing orders.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to perform functions in a SAP & Microsoft Environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May work extended hour on occasion
