This position will report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and is responsible for delivering high quality professional candidates to Owens & Minor's leaders and teammates.  Position will primarily support the Client Engagement Center at our downtown Richmond, VA location! Recruiter will perform full lifecycle recruiting while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process.  Recruits non-exempt through exempt level positions based on business demand to include screening and interviewing candidates using the most effective recruitment methodologies, techniques and processes. Works with hiring managers to identify hiring needs.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.             Builds strong partnership and engagement with hiring managers and key people leaders to identify hiring needs and develop/implement timely and cost-effective staffing strategies


2.             Owns and manages full recruiting life-cycle. Ensures new requisitions reflect all appropriate signatures prior to posting, sources and screens candidates (while also pipelining for the future). Owns phone interviewing, candidate presentation, interview management and offer/ closing of candidates through to onboarding, including coordination of the pre-employment drug test and background/ criminal checks.   


3.             Proactively puruses all avenues to attract and recruit top talent while learning, identifying and sharing best practices with the O&M Talent Acquisition team


4.             Builds strategic relationships to engage a stronger, more diverse pipeline of talent.  Also ensures Civic organizations receive notification of open positions and response is tracked/maintained on a spreadsheet. 


5.            Maintains all necessary recruiter specific and talent acquisition team specific metrics such as Time to Offer, Job Acceptance rates, etc.


6.             As part of the Talent Acquisition team, helps develop and maintian professional relationships with local organizations and colleges; works with Manager to evaluate the need for and represent Owens & Minor at college and specialty career fairs for recruiting purposes.


7.             Maintains and ensures all requisition and candidate specific recruiting documentation for accuracy, completion and compliance to OFCCP and EEOC guidelines. 



SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.                  Performs additional duties as directed

2.                  Assists the larger Talent Acquisition team on roles as needs based on business demand. 



QUALIFICATIONS:

 


Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years in a comparable recruiting role

A combination of education and 7+ years relevant work experience directly related to recruiting will be considered.


Experience in Workday Recruiter is a plus!

 

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Ability to work as part of a team that sits in multiple locations requiring some travel for team meetings and daily self-management for projects owned.


    Experience/ exposure to Workday recruiting platform as primary ATS. 


    Knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing platforms.


    Knowledge and experience developing talent pipelines for candidate pooling

    Knowledge of behavioral question interviewing techniques.

    Demonstrated knowledge of the local area job market


    Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment methodologies/techniques and EEO practice.
