Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Implements a consistent process for assessing, selecting, and acquiring top talent aligned with the assigned region's current and future hiring requirements. Manages the full recruitment cycle while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); proactively assesses processes, creating improvements to ensure quality candidates are acquired.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Partners with Regional Business Team members to understand and address their current and future staffing needs developing applicable staffing plans; educates leaders about all facets of the recruitment cycle.

2.       Establishes and executes recruitment policies aligned with corporate strategies that ensure and provide a positive candidate experience.

3.       Develops effective and creative talent sourcing strategies, including social media (Linked In), college recruitment, and career fairs to acquire and retain a diverse pool of top talent at all levels within the matrixed organization.

4.       Guides hiring managers through the recruitment and selection process, providing interview training as needed.  

5.       Manages external relationship(s) related to the recruiting discipline within the assigned region; includes owning and managing the relationship with local process outsourcing vendors such as Recruitment Processing Organization (RPO); networks with area employment agencies, advertising agencies and temporary agencies.

6.       Promotes the Owens & Minor employment brand and ensures recruitment efforts are aligned with, Owens & Minor talent strategy and culture.

7.       In conjunction with HR Team, develops optimal applicant workflow procedures for Human Resources, hiring managers, and other stakeholders; helps manage workflow from initial search through first day of employment.

8.       Partners with Compensation and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance to policies and procedures.

9.       Project manages talent-focused initiatives, projects or other deliverables as assigned.

10.   Tracks results of recruiting sources/efforts and produces associated metrics for Quarterly Business Reviews and Talent Reviews.

11.   Maintains a robust candidate pool to increase bench strength and promotes a healthy talent pipeline with an array of responsibilities. 

12.   Monitors industry best practices in the areas of talent recruiting, market intelligence, compensation and competitor offerings.

13.   Builds comprehensive knowledge of regional operations, customer base, compensation structure, salary ranges, pay practice, and as well as any required qualification processes.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

1.      Bachelor's Degree  required

2.      Five plus years of corporate recruiting and talent acquisition experience required; experience within relevant field (healthcare; supply chain compliance; medical device) preferred

3.      Previous experience utilizing automated talent management systems and applicant tracking systems preferred

4.      Strong understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) required; knowledge of  Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requirements preferred

  1. Experience recruiting for all level roles in manufacturing, distribution and supply chain.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

1.       Ability to travel up to 40%

2.       Ability to work varied hours, as required
