Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Works with the Regional Continuous Improvement team to track the progress, analyze and estimate the impact of improvement initiatives.  Assists in facilitating or the execution of projects that deliver cost and efficiency savings to drive improved customer satisfaction, both internal and external.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.                  Works with the Regional Continuous Improvement leadership to evaluate the impact of decisions; conducts research and completes analysis to provide management with both financial and non-financial data.  

2.                  Estimates and tracks the progress of improvement initiatives in the region.

3.                  Performs "what if" and sensitivity analysis on impact and cost of different improvement scenarios.

4.                  Participates in data collection and root cause analysis of specific initiatives, as directed by the Regional Director Lean.

5.                  Assists with the facilitation kaizen events.

6.                  Works cross functionally within the operations team promoting end-to-end value stream; identifies and helps execute value-add activities focused on the "voice of the customer".

7.          Partners with Regional Director, Lean in refining internal process standards and measuring improvement opportunities. 

8.         Coordinates, with Regional Director Lean and the other regions, the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the distribution network.

9.         Investigates significant variances in KPIs and communicates results to operations management.

10.       Completes ad-hoc data reporting as determined by business need and/or management need.

11.              Works with the Regional Trainer to train teammates in the assigned region on LEAN tools.

12.              Works with the Regional Trainer to develop training and support materials for Continuous Improvement tools and techniques

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

    1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics required
    2. Five or more years of directly applicable experience required; healthcare experience preferred
    3. Certified Lean, Six Sigma or TPS training required 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical and financial skills; ability to effectuate return on investment required
  • Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma principles to operational scenarios
  • Ability to review and analyze information from multiple sources
  • Ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement change
  • Ability to work through ambiguity by gathering more data or seeking clarification
  • Strong ability and experience managing and performing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;  able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
  • Ability to plan and coordinate completion of tasks in a multi-deadline environment
  • Ability to collaborate with others, make effective decisions, and negotiate well
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving through use of data and information; ability to recommend process improvements based on information and metrics
  • Proficient project management skills with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals
  • Excellent PC skills with strong expertise in managing data via Excel, Access, Hyperion, Oracle OBIEE, Business Objects or Cognos
  • Ability to work under structured supervision, independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with establishing operational standards and metrics is preferred
  • Professional demeanor when representing O&M internally and externally
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations required.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional areas with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to effectively manage change and help lead transformation


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
