Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Leads and facilitates collaboration of complex customer opportunities involving cross functional teams from Owens & Minor and customers.  Adapts existing solutions templates to meet specific customer/client needs, and identifies and resolves barriers and obstacles to timely response to commercial responses.  Serves as solutions subject matter expert in preparing and submitting responses to proposals.  Assesses customer requirements on each project to compile service offerings to existing or proposed network additions.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Provides data mining and analytical support for global supply chain projects.

2.       Analyzes spending and identifies cost drivers.

3.       Performs process mapping (material, financial, information).

4.       Produces timely and effective supply chain process metrics, and dissects relevant findings for Operation Solutions team and other O&M teams as needed.

5.       Develops supply chain network models and other analytical assessment methods.

6.       Researches global marketplace trends and best practices, and prevents relevant finding to Operations Solutions team.

7.       Develops and communicate data-driven improvement recommendations.

8.       Supports project plan and implementation plan development.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Four year university degree required; Master's Degree/MBA preferred
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of analytical experience in healthcare, distribution, supply chain, logistics, or related field

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong project analytical and financial skills; ability to review and analyze information from multiple sources; ability to work through ambiguity by gathering more data or seeking clarification
  • Experience mining, interpreting and formulating data into actionable tasks
  • Experience building or using tools and processes that drive network optimization
  • Process-focused and results-oriented, with strong time and task management skills
  • Demonstrated data management skills; excellent PC skills, i.e. Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint
  • Ability to conduct client needs assessments, and to identify and ensure compliance with client requirements
  • Planning and organizational skills; detail orientation with the ability to meet stringent deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with teammates at all levels of the organization; ability to negotiate, influence and persuade
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of logistics, transportation management and/or 3PL industry preferred


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
