POSITION SUMMARY

Provides technical leadership, applications architecture, and applications development for the assigned platform. 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Works directly with business development teams during project envisioning/inception to devise best solutions and reasonable, accurate time/cost estimates for each project.

2.      Contributes to functional and technical application design; reviews/establishes "best practice" processes; and uses case design/reviews; maintains ability to document and read functional and technical specifications.

3.      Helps to define and implement applications development best practices, standards, and processes.

4.      Thoroughly documents application development work using established team documentation standards.

5.      Self-manages workload and work assignments within an application development team that delivers projects/tasks through a software development life cycle, with an eye toward project timelines and utilization.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  •       Bachelors Degree in related field of study
  •       Ten or more years of  experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and full-stack development
  •       Five or more years of experience with ASP.NET MVC / Razor, Entity Framework, and WCF
  •       Extensive experience with Html, CSS, JQuery, Ajax, and JSON
  •        Extensive experience designing and implementing databases with SQL Server, Oracle experience preferred
  •       Experience with dependency injection (Ninject preferred) and Unit Testing (NUnit)
  •       Experience in distributed systems environments
  •       Experience with application integrations in complex, web-service driven, or SOA environments

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  •       Experience evaluating / estimating work effort, controlling scope, identifying risk, resolving issues and bug fix management
  •       Must be able to work effectively as an individual contributor or a member of a team
  •       Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
  •       Ability to engage clients directly to explain software solutions, answer questions on features and/or development processes when needed.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  •       Ability to travel up to 40%
  •       Ability to work extended hours on occasion
