POSITION SUMMARY

 

Supports the International Strategic Sourcing team in managing national sourcing proposals and addendums;  provides analytics and reporting to support and track successes.   Identifies key price points in highly competitive categories recommending pricing structures.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.      Develops tracking, reporting and analytics based on cross-reference information (including the identification of product improvements, potential conversion opportunities and/or new product development) in order to understand and communicate, in real time, the size, scope, drivers and direction of various product markets.

2.      Works with Manager Global Product Pricing to identify how to set price points for costs to the core Distribution Centers.

3.  Provides oversight to the analysis of and response to requests for discounted pricing from field sales team. Delivers recommendations on new product pricing in the market.

4.  Monitors sales activities, key trends and the overall cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the private label and/or branded market.

5.  Works closely with Lead Partners to develop and implement pricing strategy for key customers. Develops pricing bids for both strategic customer as well as GPO Request for Proposals (RFPs).

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.      Bachelor's degree in a related field, required.

2.      Broad knowledge of a discipline such as supply chain, logistics, sales, finance or business administration

3.      Three to five years of experience required.

4.      Attention to detail, data management, market analysis, data reporting, and data presentation.   Experience in a client- or supplier-side position in healthcare, medical device or pharmaceuticals highly preferred.

1.      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

2.      Strong organizational and analytical skills.

3.      Detailed oriented.

4.      Ability to work on multiple projects.

5.      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6.      Proven ability to learn new technical tools.

7.      Proficient in Microsoft Office and general knowledge of PC.
