Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Leads the effective integration of new and non-core business to the Owens & Minor Client Engagement Center (CEC) model.  Partners with various organizations throughout O&M to ensure the smooth implementation of recent organizational changes -- including acquisitions -- and to identify the next generation of opportunities for increased operational efficiency.  Serves as the process owner for defining, standardizing, and integrating new and non-core business processes.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

Global Process Coordination

  1. Designs, develops, and defines non-core business processes (recent acquisitions, manufacturing services, Point of Care logistics, etc.), ensuring consistency with O&M CEC model.
  2. Determines appropriate CEC roles and support model for non-core businesses.
  3. Leads transformational initiatives aimed at standardization and improvement of processes across non-core businesses.
  4. Partners with Global Process Owners and non-core business leaders to ensure end-to-end global process consistency and management.
  5. Integrates non-core processes into CEC model.

 

Integration of New Business Functions to CEC

  1. Identifies opportunities within acquired businesses to bring relevant functions to the CEC.
  2. Partners with stakeholders to drive and execute migration to the CEC.
  3. Partners with the business to drive and execute expanded organization model design, governance structure, process development, training, and communication.
  4. Collaborates with CEC Leadership to ensure stabilization efforts post-migration.

Establish Global CEC Operations

  1. Leads CEC-global implementation to ensure consistency of approach and structure with domestic CEC.
  2. Provides oversight and leadership throughout the process of standing up global CEC operations.
  3. Partners with the business to drive and execute global CEC org model design and governance structure, development of processes, training, and communication to ensure consistency with the domestic CEC model.
  4. Collaborates with global and domestic CEC Leadership to ensure stabilization efforts post-migration.

 

Other Key Strategic Initiatives

  1. Lead other strategic initiatives and projects as required by the Chief Administrative Officer, CEC Vice Presidents, or the Global Process Council.
  2. Provides thought leadership and/or subject matter expertise to critical business needs facing the CEC.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Four year university degree required; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in management and process optimization preferably in the healthcare, supply chain, shared services, and management consulting industries

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of O&M processes
  • Strong understanding of GBS best practices
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills, interpersonal skills, and personal development
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic programs to advance an organization's strategy and goals
  • Demonstrated skill and confidence in proactively building relationships with top tier partners/leaders both internally and externally
  • Strong ability to anticipate future needs of the organization
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive team leader who welcomes challenges
  • Communicates effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
