Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages the design, development and delivery of assigned IT projects using a Scrum-based agile software development methodology.  Serves and supports the development team by guiding and coaching the adoption of Agile/Scrum practices, while ensuring that the team delivers on their commitments. Acts as liaison between the business, 3rd party vendors and IT to ensure seamless project execution.  Monitors progress to ensure scope, schedule, budget and quality align with project targets.  Assigns duties, prepares status reports and educates the Project Implementation Team in the areas of processes and project management requirements.  Strictly follows the Scaled Agile approach to project management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.        Leading global project teams on large scale, highly complex Software Development and IT Infrastructure projects

2.       Coaches team members to understand scrum and the Agile principles.

3.       Influences change, increasing team performance at a sustainable pace.

4.       Facilitating discussion and conflict resolution within assigned project teams.

5.     Facilitating quarterly planning and guides team in establishing their quarterly commitments.

6.    Developing metrics and reports to help the assigned project team(s) understand their health and progress; uses these same metrics and reports to set appropriate goals.

7.    Developing metrics and reports to assist Executive team understand overall project health and progress

8.    Ensuring clear communication and collaboration between all the members of the cross functional team

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Performs additional duties as directed. 



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  •       Bachelors in related field of study
  •       Five (5) or more years of Scrum Master experience
  •       Seven (7) or more years relevant Program/Project Management experience
  •       Or any equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements
  •       Experience with other Lean/Agile framework and methods, i.e.: Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc
  •       Experience with .NET platforms
  •       SAFe Practitioner (SP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Agilist (SA) preferred
  •       Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  •       Fluent in user story creation, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, facilitating retrospectives, handling defects, velocity, and task definition
  •       Decisive but inclusive decision making in a fast-paced environment
  •       Ability to work independently with light supervision
  •       Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  •       Ability to define issues, business/technology needs, and implement solutions
  •        Ability to adapt quickly to new business and technology
  •       Experience with development theories and processes

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.       Ability to travel up to 30% , both domestic and international
