Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Works closely with internal resources to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce.com requirements in a variety of industry contexts. Manages all aspects of Salesforce.com (SFDC) including configuration, customization and implementation of applications and third party integrations. 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Develops program logic for new applications with Software Engineering Techniques considering Software Engineering Architecture for various functional needs in the application.

2.       Performs software development using programming languages such as Apex, VisualForce and related tools and frameworks.

3.       Works in the Salesforce.com development environment to create custom objects, workflows, Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Lightning Components and Visual Force Pages to show customized content according to client needs.

4.       Analyzes/Interprets architecture and design, performs code reviews, provides mentoring, provides guidance and ensures adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing, and release.

5.       Develops BULK API calls (REST) and SOAP to integrate application components.

6.       Coordinates with business users and platform administrator to gather business requirements and translate them into user stories to build product backlog for future releases.

7.       Collaborates with platform architect and business users throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment to ensure the requirements are being met.

8.       Conducts trial runs to test applications/systems/software performance, debugs/resolves problems, and ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

9.       Operates, supports, and improves our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.

10.   Constantly evaluates options to optimize performance of existing integrations

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Five or more years of relevant IT experience in large / complex IT architecture environments
  • Three or more years of experience with Salesforce.com development tools and techniques, e.g. APEX, Test Classes, Triggers, Controllers, Force.com, SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, outbound messaging and creating Visual Force pages
  • Experience integrating Salesforce.com with enterprise-level applications
  • Experience with cloud ETL tools, such as Force.com IDE, Migration Tool and Data Loader, as well as web-service integration.
  • Three of more years of experience supporting Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, validations, custom permissions, and approvals.
  • Lightning Development Skills (preferred)
  • Three or more years of Environment Management and Migration experience utilizing Change Sets and other tools such as ANT or GIT.
  • Or any combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, national and international
  • May work extended hours on occasion
