POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Talent Acquisition partner is a corporate role responsible for assessing, selecting and acquiring top talent aligned with the organization's strategic business objectives and goals.  Manages the full recruitment cycle for open positions, from sourcing, interviewing, assessments, salary negotiations, and acceptance of offer through hiring while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continual improvements to ensure quality candidates are acquired.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Collaborates with leaders to understand and address their current and future staffing needs developing applicable staffing plans; educates leaders about all facets of the recruitment cycle.

2.       Develops, drives, and executes recruitment strategies that ensure and enhance a positive candidate experience.

3.       Develops effective and creative talent sourcing strategies, including social media, college recruitment, and career fairs to acquire and retain a diverse pool of top talent at all levels within the matrixed organization.

4.       Builds talent funnels for industry related candidates by effectively sourcing through multiple channels

5.       Guides hiring managers through the recruitment process while gaining a deep understanding of on-going recruiting needs and talent bench development.

6.       Actively manages the candidate interview process and experience.

7.       Discusses job requirements with candidates assessing how well aligned the candidate's skills, knowledge and abilities align with the open position; extracts the best available talent while adhering to all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) requirements.

8.       Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation and enforcing regulations with managers

9.       Liaises with external recruiting vendor(s) as needed including owning and managing the relationship with local Resource Provider Organization (RPO); liaises with area employment agencies, advertising agencies and temporary agencies.

10.   Promotes the Owens & Minor talent brand and ensures recruitment efforts are aligned with, maintain, and enhance the Owens & Minor talent brand and culture.

11.   In conjunction with recruiting team, develops optimal applicant workflow procedures for Human Resources, hiring managers, and other stakeholders; helps manage workflow from initial search through to offer.

12.   Partners with Compensation to initially scope appropriate levels of compensation and on final offers for candidates.

13.   Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.

14.   Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent across all functions

15.   Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity

16.   Project manages talent-focused initiatives, projects or other deliverables as they arise.

17.   Tracks results of recruiting sources/efforts and produces associated metrics upon request.

18.   Maintains a future candidate pool for locations for bench strength.

19.   Monitors industry methods of recruiting to include business intelligence of competitor offerings.

20.   Becomes knowledgeable about each location's operation, salary ranges, pay practice, and customer base as well as any required qualification processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

1.      Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred

2.       Five or more years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience required; experience within relevant field (healthcare; supply chain compliance; medical device; manufacturing) strongly preferred

3.       Previous experience utilizing automated talent management systems and applicant tracking systems preferred

4.       Strong understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) required; knowledge of Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requirements preferred

5.       Continuous Improvement, Lean or Problem Solving training preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

1.       Ability to travel up to 40% and work varied hours, as required
