Job Description



Participates in the design, development, and implementation of talent management programs, processes, and policies in support Owens & Minor initiatives.  Manages all talent management program components including needs assessment and analysis, organizational sensing, data analytics, reporting, interpretation and program implementation.  Administers assessments and creates program materials and delivery mechanisms in partnership with Talent Management, HR Operations, and other key business partners


1.       Utilizes best practice data sources, data collection tools and benchmarks to evaluate current Owens & Minor talent management programs, processes, and policies.

2.       Helps lead collaboration meetings between functional groups and HR to assess organizational current states, and identify potential solutions to meet business objectives.

3.       Assists in the development and implementation of change management practices and methodologies that enable the organizational strategy and vision.

4.       Creates and tracks success criteria for Talent Management programs, processes, and procedures (succession planning, talent reviews, organizational design, teammate engagement, etc.).

5.       Designs and implements Talent Management programs (employee engagement surveys, talent management processes and procedures, change management initiatives, etc.).

6.       Facilitates meetings and focus groups and creates and delivers presentations to all levels within the organization.

7.       Designs and implements Talent Management programs (employee engagement surveys, talent management processes and procedures, change management initiatives, etc.).

8.       Interacts with, and assists with the overall management of Talent Managements relationships with both Owens & Minor stakeholders and external vendors.

9. Develops and maintains detailed processes for all stakeholders to perform effectively and collaboratively during all performance management cycle phases.

10. Collects and analyzes relevant performance metrics providing reporting and recommendations to leadership on solutions to remedy and enhance performance trends.


1.      Performs additional duties as directed.



  •       Four year university degree (Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related disciplinary area) required; Masters Degree preferred
  •       Minimum of two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required


  • Foundational knowledge of human resources practices, processes and procedures
  • Fundamental knowledge of Talent Management programs such as Teammate Engagement, Performance Management, Succession Planning and Cultural Change
  • Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment while demonstrating efficient time management
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and presentation skills including the ability to interact well with company Officers and external parties
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, such as focus groups, to identify and diagnose issues within a functional team, leadership group or for work processes
  • Ability to analyze data, summarize findings and make recommendations and develop methods to assess effectiveness.
  • Ability to utilize standard software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet stringent deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Ability to solve complex problems developing creative solutions independently or with teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to discern errors within highly complex or detailed work.
