Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Works with the technology integration manager to plan and implement the technology interface design, new interfaces or interface upgrades for hospitals.   Works as a liaison between the customer and IT to support technology integrations.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1.       Completes end-to-end testing of interface architecture and data definitions.

2.       Has a strong understanding of transactional flows between the hospital and its support systems.

3.       Streamlines the information/data requirements needed to facilitate the interoperation of O&M and customer systems.

4.       Conveys customer's functional requirements to developers as required.

5.       Documents and publishes test scenario statuses and scripts.

6.       Provides consistent communication between customers and IT.   Creates interface architecture diagrams. Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency.

7.       Responds to customer requests to troubleshoot interface technology issues after go-live.

8.       Oversees the ancillary vendors who manage integration router delivery.

9.       Develops interface-specific documentation that publicizes technical requirements between technology teams.

10.   Performs interface testing for each developed interface using success criteria that is established by the customer as the measure for acceptance.

11.   Cross functional support backup and on call support rotation as needed.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Four-year University Degree preferred
  • Two to three years of applicable experience
  • Or any combination of education and experience that fulfill the above requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of Hospital systems such as Lawson, EPIC, Cerner, etc.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Inventory Data & Process flows.
  • General PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, process flow and graphics presentation software)
  • Analytical skills, working with large sets of product data.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn new technical tools
  • Experience with HL7 programming
  • Self-starter with significant multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong critical thinker and have an eye for attention to detail
